Eerie comparison

I must be paranoid or something, but when I heard the beginning to this song, The Lonely, by Christina Perri I instantly thought of my song, Why Aren't You Gone. Almost the exact same lyrics in the first phrase, and the tune and arrangement of that same phrase are the same.

Also, throughout her song, I also noticed similar phrases that I used in my song, Back Before the Day. Am I just paranoid? It's a little haunting, since she wrote her song after my songs were posted on youtube...not to give myself that much credit, it's just a strange coincidence.

Listen to her song, then come back and listen to the first line of my song. Weird. I do love her song though. And Jar of Hearts is good too, although the video is a little strange.

I didn't listen to compare the two songs, but the reality is, there is a LOT of "scrapping" on the Internet, where people will steal bits and pieces, put them together and call them their own.

Credit should be given where credit is due..."inspired by," or "adapted by" with the changes noted and credit to the original author should be noted and linked to the original article/song/recipe. (no pun intended!)
